A ball screw is an ideal component for converting rotary motion into linear motion, or linear motion into rotary motion.

Ball screws are the most commonly used transmission elements in machine tools and precision machinery. Their main function is to convert rotary motion into linear motion, or torque into repeated axial force, while featuring high precision, reversibility and high efficiency. Due to their very low frictional resistance, ball screws are widely used in various industrial equipment and precision instruments.

A ball screw consists of a screw shaft, nut, steel balls, preloader, return tube and dust seal. Its function is to convert rotary motion into linear motion, which is a further extension and development of the Acme screw.
